Troop 8 meets in downtown Wilson, North Carolina at First Baptist Church of Wilson and is a member of the East Carolina Council. With over 100 years in Scouting we have a rich history of service and adventure.

We are committed to providing our scouts with opportunities for fun and adventure while instilling leadership, citizenship, and stewardship skills within them. Out motto is “Leadership Through Service” and we are active within our community through American Red Cross and Wilson City initiatives.

Each month our Scouts complete at least one service project and engage in at least one weekend adventure such as camping, canoeing, or day hikes.

All of our adult leaders have completed the Scouting America requirements for background checks and Safeguarding Youth Training (formerly Youth Protection Training).

Youth ages 11 to 17 are eligible to join.
